Psilocybin tea reading

The psilocybin tea reading invites embodied knowledge of an online mycelian infrastructure to decolonize hierarchical worldmaking and collectively hallucinate new imaginaries, connoting "differences without separability" (Denise Ferreira Da Silva).

Using psychoactive rootscapes as metaphors, fantasies and hallucinations, the lucid undertaking involves science fiction by Octavia Butler. Opening portals of awareness to release the rational, we are rewiring the collective unconscious to reimagine a new kind of normal.

Butler's science fiction ingested through language, becomes absorbed through AI-indexed image searches as an act of lucid dreaming for a more hopeful future.

Originally produced for Mycological Twist's Myco TV in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and first streamed on MOSTYN (Llandudno) in 2020. Another edition was presented at Centrum (Berlin) in 2021.
